In the recently announced results of the 2026 NASPAA Student Simulation Competition, a team of students from SPP and the School of Humanities and Social Science (HSS) at CUHK-Shenzhen earned top regional honors, demonstrating strong skills in policy analysis and teamwork.
All participating students represented SPP. The team included:

This year’s competition focused on wildfire mitigation. Students from around the world were formed into mixed teams. The teams that Zhi Cui and Kaiqi You were part of achieved exceptional results, winning first place at their regional site—Ludovika University of Public Service in Hungary. Their work will now advance to compete for the global top three awards. All participating students received certificates of recognition from NASPAA for their outstanding performance.
The faculty advisors, Professor Eun Yeong Choe and Professor Hua James Qin from SPP, provided critical training and strategic guidance that supported the students’ success.
Going forward, SPP will actively engage in the NASPAA network, working with top international institutions in areas such as curriculum development, student exchange, faculty visits, and international accreditation. SPP aims to make a distinctive contribution to the internationalization of public policy education in China.
