(I)Job Description
1. Conduct scientific research under the guidance of the group leader, complete project-related tasks, and publish high-quality academic papers. Postdoctoral fellows are welcome to join the group with their own research projects on a collaborative basis.
2. Assist in applying for national-level grants and provincial/municipal-level projects, and serve as the principal investigator (PI) in applying for postdoctoral research funds.
3. Support and guide graduate students and research assistants in the group or laboratory.
4. Fulfill other tasks assigned by the group leader as required.
(II) Qualifications
1. Applicants must possess strong political integrity and moral character, abide by laws and regulations, and have no record of misconduct.
2. Candidates should hold a doctoral degree from a renowned domestic or international university (obtained within the past three years) or be expected to complete their degree soon. Preferred fields include biophysics, biochemistry and molecular biology, cell biology, physiology, pharmacology, immunology, neuroscience, or related disciplines.
3. Proficiency in English as the working language for academic communication is required.
4. Applicants should demonstrate strong research interest and the ability to conduct independent scientific work, along with outstanding academic integrity, professional ethics, communication skills, and teamwork spirit. They must be able to adapt to multi-project, fast-paced environments and exhibit a drive for excellence.
5. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in areas such as membrane proteins, receptors, ion channels, cell signaling pathways, autophagy or apoptosis mechanisms. Proficiency in experimental techniques—including electrophysiology, high-resolution imaging, transgenic mouse models, in vivo imaging, omics and big data analysis, or high-throughput screening — is highly desirable.

1. Compensation & Benefits: We offer competitive, sustainable remuneration commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications (specific salary negotiable based on background). Benefits include statutory welfare packages, mandatory social insurance and housing fund, meal allowances, and other standard entitlements. Implementation of social insurance, housing fund, residency registration, and children’s kindergarten/school enrollment follows Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL) regulations.
2. Talent Subsidies: Postdoctoral Associate may apply for Shenzhen Municipal Postdoctoral Living Subsidy (RMB 360,000 over two years).Eligible candidates may apply for the Guangdong Overseas Postdoctoral Talent Program:In-station subsidy: RMB 600,000/2 years、Post-station housing subsidy (for remaining in Guangdong): RMB 400,000/3 years. *(Total: RMB 1,000,000; note: in-station subsidy is non-stackable with Shenzhen Municipal subsidy)*Outstanding postdocs may apply for SZBL’s Youxiu Postdoctoral Fellowship: Years 1–2: RMB 100,000/year; Years 3–4: RMB 360,000/year
3. Funding Support: SZBL provides comprehensive assistance in applying for competitive grants, including: National "Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program" (RMB 560,000/2 years + RMB 80,000 research funding).
4. Career Development: Customized career planning support is provided during postdoctoral tenure. Exceptional candidates may be offered positions as Associate Investigator or Assistant Investigator within the group upon completion of their postdoc training, subject to performance and mutual interest.
5. Post-Completion Benefits: In accordance with Shenzhen policies, postdocs who commence full-time employment in Shenzhen within six months of completing their term and sign a 3+ year labor contract will receive a RMB 360,000 post-station living subsidy.Outstandingpostdoctoral fellows who receive the "Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program" or the "China Postdoctoral Science Foundation Special Funding" during their postdoctoral period in Shenzhen may receive an additional subsidy of up to RMB 300,000 for remaining in Shenzhen.
