香港中文大学深圳音乐学院活动预告 “Opera Gala Concert 歌剧音乐会”将于5月9日拉开帷幕

朴昭炫博士，现为香港中文大学（深圳）音乐学院讲师，是一位经验丰富的歌剧导演和教育家。朴博士出生于韩国首尔，拥有首尔国立大学声乐表演学士学位，以及德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校硕士学位和音乐艺术博士学位，并在就读硕博期间主修歌剧导演专业。在德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校就读期间，她师从罗伯特·德西蒙博士、奇亚·帕蒂尼奥博士和加内特·布鲁斯等杰出导师。

如今，朴博士已成为歌剧制作领域的一股生力军，近年作品包括2022年在世宗艺术中心执导的首尔大都会歌剧团歌剧《浮士德》的导演处女作；2023年制作的米西·马佐利歌剧《证明》；她的创新作品延伸至中国，执导了整部《波西米亚人》；以及2025年在广州星海音乐学院举行的《波西米亚人》庆典音乐会等。在德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校攻读音乐博士学位期间，她在麦卡洛剧院执导了《卡门》《莎士比亚庆典》和《歌曲重塑系列》的全套制作，同时担任巴特勒歌剧中心（2022-2023年）的首位韩国助教。朴博士在疫情期间展现了极强的适应与调整能力，成功为吉尔伯特与沙利文（奥斯汀）剧院执导了《艾达公主》的视频片段。

她丰富的导演作品包括：在首尔与管弦乐队合作的《茶花女》和《波西米亚人》（2019年）；在德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校执导的当代歌剧《女人》（2019年）；以及在首尔担任大都会歌剧院莎拉·迈耶斯《弄臣》的助理导演等。她曾为青少年歌剧团制作《爱的甘醇》和《波西米亚人》（2016），以及为首尔国立大学歌剧学院制作《波西米亚人》（2016），成为了她更早期职业生涯的亮点。作为萨拉托加歌剧院的导演研究员（2022-2023），朴博士执导了以《女人心》和《红男绿女》为特色的庆典音乐会和家庭演出，同时协助制作了《女人心》《唐·帕斯夸莱》和《自私的巨人》。在担任芝加哥夏季歌剧院导演研究员（2020-2021）期间，她执导了二十多个歌剧场景，并协助制作了《阿尔西娜》和《汉塞尔与格莱特》的完整制作。2014年至2016年，她担任首尔大都会歌剧院常驻助理导演，参与了超过25部歌剧的制作，包括《魔笛》《托斯卡》《命运之力》《魔弹射手》《贾尼·斯基基》《唐卡洛》《法尔斯塔夫》《托斯卡》《卡门》《茶花女》《霍夫曼伯爵》《奥菲欧与欧律狄茜》《弄臣》《费加罗的婚礼》《蝴蝶夫人》《丑角》《塞维利亚理发师》《阿依达》《螺丝在拧紧》《麻鹬河》等。

目前，朴博士在香港中文大学（深圳）音乐学院歌剧与声乐学部教授歌剧工作坊、高级歌剧工作坊、歌唱家表演与肢体语言训练、音乐会表演训练等四门核心课程。她积极策划歌剧庆典音乐会和歌剧场景表演，在培养下一代歌剧艺术家的同时，持续探索将学术训练与专业实践相结合的教学模式。

Dr. Helen Sohyun Park (朴昭炫), currently serving as Lecturer at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, is an accomplished opera director and educator. As a native of Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Park holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Seoul National University and both Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Opera Directing from The University of Texas at Austin, where she studied under distinguished mentors including Dr. Robert DeSimone, Dr. Chía Patiño, and Garnett Bruce.

Dr. Park has established herself as a dynamic force in opera production, with recent credits including her 2022 directorial debut with Seoul Metropolitan Opera Company's Faust at Sejong Art Center and the 2023 production of Missy Mazzoli's Proving Up. Her innovative work extends to China, where she directed the entire production of La bohème and also, the La bohème Gala Concert for Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou in 2025. During her DMA studies at UT Austin, she directed full productions of Carmen, Shakespeare Gala, and Song Reimagined at McCullough Theatre while serving as the first Korean Teaching Assistant at Butler Opera Center (2022-2023). Demonstrating remarkable adaptability during the pandemic, Dr. Park successfully directed video excerpts of Princess Ida for Gilbert & Sullivan (Austin).

Her extensive directing portfolio includes La Traviata and La bohème with orchestra in Seoul (2019), contemporary opera The Women at UT Austin (2019), and assistant directing for the Metropolitan Opera's Sarah Meyers on Rigoletto in Seoul. Earlier career highlights include productions of L'elisir d'amore and La bohème for Opera for Youth (2016) and La bohème for Seoul National University's Opera Institute (2016).

As a Directing Fellow at Opera Saratoga (2022-2023), Dr. Park directed a Gala Concert and Family Show featuring Così fan tutte and Guys and Dolls, while assisting productions of Così fan tutte, Don Pasquale, and The Selfish Giant. Her tenure as a Directing Fellow at the Chicago Summer Opera (2020-2021) saw her direct over twenty opera scenes and assist in full productions of Alcina and Hänsel und Gretel. From 2014-2016, she served as Resident Assistant Director at Seoul Metropolitan Opera, contributing to more than twenty-five productions, including Die Zauberflöte, Tosca, La forza di Destino, Der Freischütz, Gianni Schicchi, Don Carlo, Falstaff, Tosca, Carmen, La traviata, Les Conte d'Hoffmann, Orfeo ed Euridice, Rigoletto, Le nozze di Figaro, Madama Butterfly, Pagliacci, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Aida, The Turn of the Screw, Curlew River, etc.

Currently at the School of Music, CUHK-Shenzhen, Dr. Park teaches four core courses in the Opera & Voice Division: Opera Workshop, Advanced Opera Workshop, Acting and Movement for Singers, and Concert Performance Training. She actively produces Opera Gala Concerts and Opera Scenes Performances, continuing to bridge academic training with professional practice while shaping the next generation of opera artists.

乔尔迪·托伦特·库鲁尔（Jordi Torrent Curull），现为香港中文大学（深圳）音乐学院讲师。作为一名协作钢琴家，他的职业生涯活跃而多面。

乔尔迪·托伦特·库鲁尔与传奇短笛演奏家让-路易斯·博马迪尔（Jean-Louis Beaumadier）密切合作。他们长期合作的成果已收录在三张专辑中，包含东欧作曲家作品的《中欧》（World Piccolo 1），包含索贾·沃格拉尔（Sojar Voglar）作品的《明信片》（World Piccolo 2）以及包含迈克·莫尔（Mike Mower）、让·米歇尔·达马斯（Jean Michel Damase）、雷蒙德·吉奥特（Raymond Guiot）、维罗妮克·波尔茨（Veronique Poltz）作品的《甜梦》（World Piccolo 3）等。他们曾在欧洲、加拿大和美国（包括卡内基音乐厅）合作演出。

作为新音乐的支持者，乔尔迪·托伦特·库鲁尔与作曲家陈怡、George Crumb、Lukas Foss、Shulamit Ran、Alexandre Eisenberg、Jesús González 等密切合作，并录制了Xavier Montsalvatge、Jorge Liderman、Joâo Pedro Oliveira、Alexander Eisenberg、Josep Maria Guix、Joan Magrané、Levente Gyöngyösy、Dimitry Tchesnokov等人的作品。

Jordi Torrent Curull currently serves as a Lecturer at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He maintains an active and multi-faceted career as a collaborative pianist.

In the world of opera, he has acted as a coach and repetiteur for the premieres of Benet Casablancas' L'Enigma di Léa (2019) and Raquel García-Tomás' Alexina B. (2023) in the Gran Teatre del Liceu (GTL), Barcelona. He has also acted in the same capacity in George Benjamin's Lessons in Love and Violence (2021).  He has participated as a member of the Liceu Orchestra in productions of Puccini's Tosca, Turandot, Il Trittico, Alban Berg's Wozzek, Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos, Mozart's Zauberflöte, Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire, Britten's War Requiem, and Francesconi's Quartett, etc. He has also collaborated in Liceu galas and Barcelona Symphony Orchestra productions featuring singers such as Josep Carreras, Dame Sarah Connolly, Joyce DiDonato, Irene Théorin, Ian Bostridge, etc.

Experienced in flute repertoire, he has been an official pianist at the 2013 convention of the National Flute Association, USA, in New Orleans (2013), and the Spanish flute conventions in Barcelona (2012), Sevilla (2014), and Bilbao (2016). In addition, he has been featured in other conventions in Canada (Toronto, 2013), France (Paris, 2013), Spain, the UK (Warwick, 2014), and Costa Rica (San José, 2015). As a result, he has performed with a long list of world-acclaimed flutists including Sophie Cherrier, Vicens Prats, Kersten McCall, Janos Bálint, Michel Bellavance, Jean Michel Tanguy, Tadeu Coelho, Claudi Arimany, Nicola Mazzanti, Qiao Zhang, and Thomas Robertello.

In addition to flute conventions, he has appeared in the International Double Reed Society Conference in Granada, Spain, in 2018, the Asociación de Fagotistas y Oboistas de España convention in Barcelona in 2022, and the Barcelona Bass Meeting in 2011 and 2013.

Jordi Torrent Curull has closely collaborated with legendary piccolo player Jean-Louis Beaumadier. The results of this extended collaboration have appeared in three CDs: Mitteleuropa (World Piccolo 1), with works by East European composers; Postcards (World Piccolo 2) with a piece by Sojar Voglar; and Sweet Dreams (World Piccolo 3) with music by Mike Mower, Jean Michel Damase, Raymond Guiot, and Veronique Poltz. They have performed throughout countries of Europe, Canada, and the US, where they have played at Carnegie Hall.

As a champion of new music, he has personally worked with composers including Chen Yi, George Crumb, Lukas Foss, Shulamit Ran, Alexandre Eisenberg, Jesús González, and recorded pieces by Xavier Montsalvatge, Jorge Liderman, Joâo Pedro Oliveira, Alexander Eisenberg, Josep Maria Guix, Joan Magrané, Levente Gyöngyösy, and Dimitry Tchesnokov, etc.

Jordi Torrent Curull studied with Albert Attenelle in Barcelona, Michael Davidson in the Netherlands, and Emile Naoumoff in the United States. He holds a Master's Degree of Music in Piano Performance and a Master's Degree of Music in Music Theory at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Bloomington, USA.
