Institute Work
·On December 29, a special lecture on the preparation work for the Ministry of Education’s evaluation of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs was held in Room 710 of the Third Complex Building. Professor Meng Tao, Dean of the International Business College, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, was specially invited to provide guidance. Professor He Tao, Executive Vice Dean of the institute, together with all administrative staff, attended the lecture. This lecture not only deepened the administrative staff’s understanding of the evaluation of Sino-foreign cooperative education, but also further clarified key tasks and development directions, enhancing the institute’s overall capacity in evaluation preparedness, institutional development, and quality assurance.
·On December 30, the institute’s 2025 Annual Review Meeting was held in Room 806 of the Third Complex Building. The meeting was attended by Huang Zhecheng, Assistant to the President and Secretary of the Party Branch of the institute; Professor He Tao, Executive Vice Dean of the institute; and Chen Jiling, Director of the Human Resources and Administration Department. All faculty and staff were present. The meeting provided a comprehensive review of the institute’s achievements in Party building, teaching, research, talent cultivation, and faculty development in 2025, and laid out key tasks and prospects for 2026, providing clear guidance for the institute’s high-quality development.
Student Affairs
·On December 30, the Fourth Student Congress of the institute grandly opened to the solemn sound of the national anthem. The event was attended by Huang Zhecheng, Assistant to the President and Secretary of the Party Branch of the institute; Hong Weilie, Secretary of the University Youth League Committee; Professor He Tao, Executive Vice Dean of the institute; Xu Wenfei, Director of the Student Affairs Office and Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the institute; Ma Yuxiang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Engineering; as well as counselors from all year groups. The congress provided a comprehensive summary of the achievements and experience of student organizations in recent years, and outlined plans for future development. In strict accordance with democratic procedures, a new Student Union Presidium and Standing Representatives were elected through delegate voting.
·To ensure campus safety and stability during the final examination period and before the winter vacation, and to eliminate potential dormitory safety hazards, the institute organized the student affairs team to conduct a comprehensive and detailed safety inspection of all student dormitories this week. During the inspections, teachers communicated with students, reiterating the importance of fire safety in winter, and reminding everyone to switch off power, close windows, lock doors, properly secure personal belongings before leaving, and plan travel arrangements in advance to ensure safety on the journey home. This special inspection further strengthened students’ awareness of safety and sense of responsibility, laying a solid foundation for a safe and smooth return home at the end of the semester.
Admissions
·On December 30, the institute organized more than 30 students to participate in the Winter Vacation High School Alma Mater Outreach Training Session held by the University Admissions Office. The training focused on visit procedures, communication skills, interpretation of distinctive features, and provided detailed guidance on the university’s curriculum design, faculty strength, and advantages in further study and employment. Customized promotional materials and PPT templates were also offered, with particular emphasis on helping students share their own learning experiences to vividly present the internationalized educational philosophy and distinctive outcomes of Sino-foreign cooperative programs to teachers and students at their former schools. This training empowered student volunteers and enabled more high school students to learn about the strengths of cooperative education, laying a solid foundation for the institute’s future recruitment and outreach work.
