Internship: China Market Research – Coffee Appliances (Strategy & Partnerships)
Location: Remote (based in China)
Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Market Research Intern to support a strategic project focused on evaluating opportunities in China’s fast-growing coffee appliance sector. The role is ideal for someone interested in consumer goods, strategy, and business development and who is confident conducting research in the Chinese market across platforms, regulatory sources, and local business networks.
You will work closely with the Strategy & Business Development team of a global OEM/ODM manufacturer of premium home appliances to identify potential partners, understand the competitive landscape, and assess market feasibility for launching new coffee products in China.
Key Responsibilities
·Conduct research along the value chain
oIdentify potential partners (brands, distributors, retailers, coffee chains) across different regions and segments in China;
oAnalyze the competitive landscape for traditional and fully automatic coffee machines;
·Gather and synthesize information on regulatory and certification requirements (e.g. CCC, CFDA, food-contact labeling) relevant to small kitchen appliances;
·Track consumer and product trends through Chinese e-commerce platforms, social media, and industry sources;
·Support the creation of shortlists, company profiles, and market sizing based on available public and commercial sources;
·Translate relevant materials and summarize key Chinese-language documents for internal use;
Your Profile
·Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field;
·Strong research and analytical skills; ability to find reliable, structured information in Chinese and present it in English;
·Native Chinese speaker (Mandarin), fluent in English (spoken and written)
·Knowledge of China’s consumer goods, e-commerce, or appliance markets is a strong plus.
